Newtech’s New Manufacturing Facility Signals Next Chapter of Growth

Newtech is pleased to announce the expansion into Unit 5 at Stoke Mill, Sharnbrook – a significant milestone that will substantially increase the company’s manufacturing capabilities and accelerate its ongoing programme of innovation.
The new building, located immediately adjacent to Newtech’s existing units provides an additional 10,000 sq ft of floor space across ground and mezzanine levels. Combined with the company’s current 6,000 sq ft, the expansion brings Newtech’s total footprint to approximately 16,000 sq ft, almost tripling available manufacturing space.
What the expansion means
The new facility will be repurposed as a dedicated mechanical and electrical manufacturing build area, enabling Newtech to significantly increase the volume of systems produced for its global customer base. In parallel, the existing workshop space will transition into a software and development centre, providing a focused environment for the team working on next-generation technologies, including physical AI and advanced automation.
The existing office space will also be reconfigured, creating room for the company’s growing workforce as well as a new demonstration, virtual reality, and training suite – allowing customers to experience Newtech’s solutions in an immersive setting before committing to a build.
Manufacturing output will begin increasing immediately, with the full transformation of the facilities expected to be completed over the next 12 months.
A milestone built on momentum
The expansion comes after a period of rapid and sustained growth. Newtech has more than doubled in size over the past two years, reaching capacity at its current site as demand for its ultrasonic cutting, robotic, and automated solutions has continued to climb both domestically and internationally.
Richard Smith, Managing Director of Newtech, commented: “This expansion is a direct reflection of the trust our customers place in us and the hard work of the entire Newtech team. Doubling in size over two years is something we’re incredibly proud of – and the extra unit gives us the platform to do it again. We’re not just adding space; we’re investing in our ability to innovate, manufacture at scale, and deliver even better solutions to our customers worldwide.”
With over three decades of experience in the design and manufacture of industrial ultrasonic slicing, cutting, portioning, and handling systems, Newtech continues to build on its reputation as a leading UK manufacturer serving food producers across the globe.
Further updates on the development of the new unit will be shared as the project progresses. Follow us on LinkedIn for more updates
