History

Newtech was established in 1985 as a distributor for processing and cooking equipment in the meat business. Recognising the growing need for high-quality portioning equipment, we evolved into a designer and manufacturer of ultrasonic slicing systems, delivering our first ultrasonic solution in 2002.

In 2005, we relocated to Bedfordshire and we have been rapidly expanding our business ever since. We are now an established international supplier across a range of food sectors, from cheese and bakery to the sandwich and meat industries.

In 2008, we jumped into the robotics arena, with a robotic cutting and picking system designed for the baking sector and since then robotics has become a key component of all of our machinery. In fact, in 2011 we picked up the European award for most innovative use of robotics from ABB Robotics.

By 2013, we had launched a new range of standard cutting systems, designed to meet the ever-changing needs of the food manufacturing market. In addition, we continue to offer tailored solutions to help our customers to cut costs, improve quality and boost output.
